European breakdown assumptions - saving you time with your quote

 

In order to keep the questions we need to ask you to a minimum, we have made a number of assumptions about you, your vehicle and any drivers. Please take the time to read through these assumptions, as they will be part of your Churchill European breakdown cover contract. If any of the assumptions are not correct you should contact us to obtain a quote.

  • All drivers MUST be over 17 years of age, hold a valid UK/EU driving licence and be permanently resident in the UK
  • The vehicle(s) MUST be privately registered to and kept at your address
  • Cover is only available for either: a motor car; motorcycle; light van; three-wheeler or car-based van, less than 10 years of age, which is privately registered in the United Kingdom, providing it carries no more than the number of persons recommended by the manufacturer and does not exceed (including any load carried) the following gross vehicle weight and dimensions: 3,500kg in weight, 7m in length, 3m in height and 2.25m in width. We also cover a standard caravan or trailer whilst being towed. Please see the policy wording for more details on the types of vehicle we cover
  • Vehicles MUST be in working order at the date cover is applied for
  • All trips must start and end in the United Kingdom
  • Any unused travel tickets must be used for repatriation of the insured vehicle
  • Any claim prior to departure resulting from breakdown in the UK will not be covered under pre-departure protection if the cover was purchased less than 7 days before planned date of departure
